About

There are so many places to learn how to play guitar. It can be overwhelming!
My goal with the Joy of Jamming is to provide a course that you can take step-by-step. These lessons start off very easy. Before you know it, you'll have gig-ready skills.

ABSOLUTE Beginners are WELCOME!

Even if you don't know the first thing about music or guitar, you will be carefully and patiently guided through your first steps.

These lessons are Easy and Fun!

This course is about building a solid foundation so you can make better sense of the other lessons out there, write your own songs, play your favorite tunes, record, or form a band and Jam with your friends. I think it's really important to have someone to practice and jam with. That's why I made these videos! So, you always have someone to jam with. The idea is for you to go through these videos in sequential order. This is a place where you can learn at your own pace. I tried my best to create an encouraging, positive, and uplifting space for you to learn in. There's no pressure here.

It's Simple

Every lesson features Three Sections:
LEARN, PLAY, & JAM!

LEARN

I teach you something new.

PLAY

Play along with me to practice what you learned.

JAM!

Put your new skill to use in real-live playing situations.

I believe that we learn by doing.

So, I designed this course so I can be beside you every step of the way. You'll be learning gig-ready skills.

  • Go get your guitar.
  • Follow the lessons in order.
  • Play along with the videos.
  • Be awesome!

By the time you finish the course, you'll have a solid foundation and many of the basics covered. From there, we Keep Moving, Grooving, Going, & Growing.

A Final Note: Music can be noisy and even aggressive, but I have made a conscious effort to teach the lessons in a calming manner so that children and those suffering from PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) can take part. Sure, some of the lessons get rocking when the tempo increases. But it is my intention that these lessons be warm and welcoming - and considered a safe environment where we can all learn together. - Thanks, Chris

I laid out the path. The journey is YOURS.

Enjoy!
